BlUESAVER SHIPPING

What is BlueSaver shipping?  To put it simply, as long as we are shipping to a single address in the lower 48 United States, it means that no matter what you purchase via the BlueStem Winery website, the shipping expense is a flat $8.95.  Nothing more!  We know some of you out there love our Island Mist and Cellar Craft wines so whether you order one kit, two kits or even more and whether or not you add in some other items for your wine making at home or some home brewing supplies, the shipping is still $8.95.  Unfortunately, we can offer BlueSaver shipping in only the lower 48 continental United States.  Read below for shipping information if you are an international purchaser or are from Puerto Rico, Alaska or Hawaii.

 

BlueStem ships via FedEx with the option to ship lighter packages via the postal service. All shipments to international addresses are through the postal service. INTERNATIONAL purchases and purchases from ALASKA, HAWAII, PUERTO RICO and APO/FPO addresses should e-mail prior to purchase as additional postal and insurance expense will apply.

 

All purchases made from international locations will require payment via MoneyGram (NO EXCEPTIONS!).  DO NOT MAKE YOUR PURCHASES VIA THE WEBSITE.  Instead, you should e-mail your order to BlueStem so that shipping expense can be computed and a total for your purchase plus delivery can be determined.  BlueStem will then provide you with instructions as to how to make payment via MoneyGram.

 

International purchasers (or those from AK, HI or PR) who purchase via the website will be responsible for obtaining a refund of monies paid through their card issuer.


We typically ship website orders via FedEx.  We will ship using option Number 1 below unless told otherwise.

 

1.  Delivery without a signature required (you assume responsibility for the package at the point in time that it is delivered by FedEx).  You may provide instructions for FedEx regarding where they are to place the package and we will flag the delivery label with this information.

 

2.  Delivery with a signature required.  You should track the package so that you can anticipate delivery.  FedEx does not schedule this delivery.  You will be asked to make an additional $5.00 payment prior to shipment being made to cover the additional charge from FedEx for this service.

 

3.  Delivery to your workplace.  This does require that you provide us with the name of the business and its physical location (street, city, zip).  Please do not provide us with a post office box address for any deliveries unless it is a very small, lightweight package which we will ship via the post office.  Generally these shipments are under one to two pounds.

 

On subsequent orders we will abide by your delivery instructions from prior orders until you notify us of a change.


Please be sure to provide the correct shipping address. You (the customer) are responsible for any re-direction / re-delivery fees.


BlueStem Winery takes pride in its ability to package its products for safe delivery. In the event that a package arrives with any of the contents damaged, BlueStem will file a damage claim with FedEx or the post office. You (the customer) are responsible for retaining the packing carton, all packing materials and the damaged item(s) pending a possible inspection request by either FedEx or the postal service. Damage claims must be submitted to BlueStem Winery within 5 days of package delivery.

Payments:

For your convenience, BlueStem accepts Master Card and Visa debit and credit cards.  PayPal is currently not available (a software problem).

 

Iowa residents are subject to the state sales tax of 7% on all non-food purchases.

Terms & Conditions

No returns accepted without prior approval. Please contact us prior to returning item(s). All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee and are to be shipped back at purchaser’s expense.


When a return is necessary because of a mistake made by BlueStem (we really try to avoid these!) you will receive either product replacement, 100% credit or a refund (plus an apology). BlueStem will absorb any return shipping expenses.

Purchases can be made from the website seven days per week, 365 days a year. Shipments are shipped Monday through Friday excluding postal holidays.

All orders placed from or shipped to addresses within the State of Iowa are subject to sales tax of 7%.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY we are open from Noon until 3:00 p.m. (or by CHANCE or APPOINTMENT).

 

SATURDAY we are open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (or by CHANCE or APPOINTMENT).

At BlueStem Winery we take your privacy very seriously. We do collect specific information about you when you create an account with us. We do NOT disclose any information about you, your visits to our site or any other private information about you to third parties (other than what we do through the normal processing of credit cards and FedEx shipments). We do not and never will sell our customer lists to anyone.
